New Degree Program "Hydrogen Systems and Renewable Energies" starting next winter semester

Westphalian University of Applied Sciences! is expanding its academic offerings and will launch a new Bachelor's degree program in "Hydrogen Systems and Renewable Energies" at its Gelsenkirchen campus in the upcoming Winter Semester 2024/2025. In response to the growing demand for sustainable and renewable energy sources, the university is addressing the urgent need for highly qualified engineers in the field of hydrogen technology and alternative energy systems.

New Bachelor's Program "Hydrogen Systems and Renewable Energies" at Westfälische Hochschule Starting Winter Semester 2024/2025

The Bachelor’s program in "Hydrogen Systems and Renewable Energies" is designed for students interested in actively engaging with hydrogen production, storage, and other renewable energy sources such as photovoltaics and wind power. Under the guidance of experienced experts, students will develop technologically sustainable solutions to tackle the challenges of the energy transition.

The program can be completed in six semesters as a standard full-time degree or in eight semesters as a work-integrated, practice-oriented, or apprenticeship-integrated study model.

Comprehensive Curriculum with Specialization Opportunities

The course content covers mathematical, technical, natural, and engineering sciences as foundational subjects. As the program progresses, students will gain specialized knowledge in hydrogen technologies, energy conversion, and renewable energy systems. Additionally, elective courses allow students to tailor their expertise to their interests. The Gelsenkirchen campus offers highly specialized laboratories for practical training and research.
